GST Council announces cashback for Digital transactions

<p class="heading_small"><strong>GST council</strong> approves <strong>cash incentives to promote Digital transactions.</strong> Finance Minister <strong>Piyush Goyal</strong> announces <strong>20 per cent&nbsp; Cashback upto Rs 100 for the Digital Transactions done via BHIM, Rupay or USSD mode.</strong></p> <p>The GST Council meeting was held in the national capital on Aug 4 2018. The meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, was focused on the concerns and suggestions of the<strong> Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.</strong></p> <p>Briefing media after the <strong>29th council meeting</strong>, the finance minister said efforts made continuously to take steps to benefit <strong>MSME </strong>sector.</p> <p>The Finance Minister added that customers making payments using<strong> Rupay card and BHIM or USSD mode</strong>, would get a cashback of 20% of the total GST amount, subject to a <strong>maximum limit of Rs100.</strong></p>
