E3 2021 - Xbox and Bethesda showcase: From Starfield, Battlefield 2042 to Halo Infinite, here are top game announcements

The Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase featured top games like Starfield, Contraband, Battlefield 2042 to Halo Infinite, new updates, trailers, and much more. Here’s a rundown of the top announcements.


At E3 2021 event, both Xbox and Bethesda held their first joint showcase, much to the gaming community's delight, with over 30 fabulous games being unveiled. Yes, it is all happening at E3 2021 event where there was a bucket load of announcements that will hold gamers enchanted. At E3 2021, games such as Starfield, Contraband and The Outer Worlds 2 were revealed and the Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase also confirmed exciting updates including Microsoft Flight Simulator coming to Xbox Series X and S, and much more.


We also got to see the trailers for Starfield, Back 4 Blood, Battlefield 2042, Halo Infinite, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 5, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl and more. There was quite a lot to take away from the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase so we’re breaking it down to some of the top announcements.


Starfield is a next-generation role-playing epic game with an open-world adventure. The game is about a group of explorers called Constellation. According to game director Todd Howard, “Starfield is about hope, our shared humanity, and searching for the answers to life’s greatest mystery.”


Starfield will launch on the Xbox Series X and Windows PC on November 11, 2022, and it will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.


Battlefield 2042


After a short teaser on Twitter, Electronic Arts and DICE gave fans a good look at Battlefield 2042’s gameplay. Battlefield 2042 will support up to 128 players at once and it will feature futuristic weapons of war along with destructive weather conditions like tornadoes and sandstorms. Battlefield 2042 is scheduled to launch on October 22 on consoles and Windows PC.


Hades


Halo Infinite


Microsoft finally announced the release timeline of Halo Infinite, and it will come out this holiday season. It also showcased a new trailer which showed Master Chief flying through destroyed ships in space. Microsoft said Halo Infinite will be Master Chief’s biggest challenge yet. There’s also a new AI called “the Weapon” that has been brought in to stop Cortana who betrayed Master Chief in Halo 5.


The Outer Worlds 2


The Outer Worlds is getting a sequel, and it’s coming to the Xbox Series X and S, Windows 10 and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The Outer Worlds 2 will take time though as only the game’s title has been finished till now. There is no gameplay footage either so we still don’t know much about The Outer Worlds 2.


Forza Horizon 5


Forza Horizon 5 was revealed at the conference, and this time it’s set in Mexico. The gameplay footage showed a highly detailed landscape of Mexico for Forza Horizon 5. Cars will pass through detailed small towns and also come across volcanic mountain ranges. Forza Horizon 5 will be available on November 9 on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox one, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.


Microsoft Flight Simulator


Microsoft Flight Simulator has been confirmed to launch on the Xbox Series X on July 27. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches. Microsoft said the console version will have “the same level of depth and complexity” as the PC version.


Bonus - Xbox mini fridge


Yes, the Xbox mini fridge is real. Microsoft has made an Xbox Series X-shaped mini fridge, and it will be available to purchase this holiday season. The mini fridge is is equipped with the Xbox Velocity Cooling Architecture.
