Well, you must have also tried some online split expenses apps to do your work easily. Well another such feature is here. Now, Facebook Messenger has rolled out a new feature to end your struggle with dividing up the bills and expenses of group dinners or shared household expenses. If Meta, formerly Facebook, has it right, then all the long complicated calculations of your bills are going to end courtesy, Facebook Messenger Split Payments.
"If you’ve struggled with dividing up (and getting paid back for) group dinners, shared household expenses or even the monthly rent, it’s about to get easier. Next week for Messenger fans in the US, we’re starting to test Split Payments, a free and fast way to share the cost of bills and expenses," Messenger said in a blog post. How can you use it? It's simple!
To use the Facebook Messenger Split Payments feature, just click the 'Get Started' button in a group chat or the Payment Hub in the application, where you can easily split the bill equally and even modify the contribution amount from individual's side. You can keep the option open to include yourself in the split bill expenses. Once you enter the personalized message and confirm your Facebook Pay details it will send the request in the group and members will be able to view it in a chat thread.
Facebook Pay was launched in November 2019, not just for the person-to-person payment but for the other things too such as donation or e-commerce shopping.

Since the start of the year, Messenger has been rolling out new features. Recently, Messenger has included Venmo-like QR codes for person-to-person payments. The QR codes are now only enabled in the United States, but they allow anybody, including those who aren't Facebook friends, to send or request money using Facebook Pay. The feature can be found in Messenger's settings under the "Facebook Pay" section. In October, the Group Effect feature was announced to step up the video calling game with a fun AR experience with the group. Messenger partnered with four creators - King Bach, Emma Chamberlain, Bella Poarch and Zach King to add the spice to your calling. In addition to this, chat themes and soundmojis were launched earlier based on the Stranger Things web series.
